Job Title: Senior Quality Engineer - Electronic products

Location: Colchester, Essex

Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 basic + benefits

Employment Type: Permanent

Working Arrangements: On-site - Some flexibility to WFH

Right to work: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. They cannot offer sponsorship.

This is a standalone role to take responsibility for the Quality function at a c50 person electronic OEM business. Once this person is in place, they will recruit a Quality Inspector to support them.

So, this role would suit an experienced Senior Quality Engineer or Quality Manager looking for a role with autonomy and the opportunity to own Quality.

A leading electronics manufacturer in Colchester is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer - Electronic products to join their growing team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the company’s Quality Management System, driving compliance to ISO9001, and acting as a technical point of contact for customers.

Senior Quality Engineer - Electronic products - What You’ll Be Doing

  • Working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure product quality and reliability
  • Leading quality activities across the manufacturing process for electronic products
  • Managing, maintaining, and improving the company’s QMS
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and supporting audits
  • Acting as a customer-facing quality representative, handling queries and driving resolution
  • Supporting root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives

Senior Quality Engineer - Electronic products - What You’ll Bring

  • Strong experience in electronics manufacturing
  • Proven background in quality engineering at a senior or lead level
  • Hands-on experience with ISO9001 and QMS ownership
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work directly with customers
