Senior Quality Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

A leading manufacturer of air and liquid cooled heat exchangers is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to meet a broad range of demanding customer requirements. The role would suit a highly motivated individual with a “hands on” approach to QA. Whose experience comes from operating within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance for all aspects of BOMS.
  • Dealing with; returns, rejects, and warranties as the first point of contact for customers and suppliers.
  • Producing high-quality NCR / 8D’s reports in response to customer returns and/or warranties.
  • Ensuring that manufacturing and related processes comply with the BMS ISO 9001 standards.
  • Conducting internal and external audits.
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure that the Company’s material requirements are met in full.
  • Determining and implementing in-house; quality procedures, standards and/or specifications.
  • Driving quality objectives to improve Company efficiency and profitability.
  • Providing support to the Commercial, Engineering and Purchasing departments.
  • Improving and maintaining standards for health, safety and environment in accordance with BMS.
  • Recording, analysing and distributing Quality Assurance statistical information.

Skills & Qualifications

  • QA background within manufacturing / engineering typically machine shop, tooling and testing processes.
  • Ability to read complex engineering drawings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A high level of computer literacy.
  • Knowledge and experience of working managing quality management systems to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Experienced in the preparation of I.S.I.R. and P.P.A.P. documentation.
  • Experience in the use of measuring equipment, Faro arms, CMM’s.
