About The Role
Balfour Beatty is delivering a major expansion programme in partnership with Rolls-Royce in Derby, supporting the development of critical infrastructure within a highly regulated and technically complex environment.
We’re now looking for an experienced Senior Quality Manager to join the project team and play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of quality across the programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for a quality professional who thrives in complex environments, understands the importance of robust assurance processes and is looking to work on a project where quality is fundamental to successful delivery.
As Senior Quality Manager, you will take a leading role in establishing, implementing and maintaining the project quality strategy, ensuring that works are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, relevant standards and Balfour Beatty's quality processes.
What you'll be doing
As a Senior Quality Manager You Will
- Lead and manage the project quality team, providing direction, support and technical leadership.
- Develop, implement and maintain the project Quality Management Plan and associated quality processes.
- Ensure quality requirements are clearly understood and embedded across the project.
- Work closely with project and construction teams to promote a right-first-time approach.
- Monitor quality performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead the implementation of inspection and test plans, quality control procedures and assurance activities.
- Ensure works are inspected, tested and documented in accordance with project requirements.
Who we're looking for
You Will Have The Following
- Significant experience in a senior quality management role within the construction or nuclear industry.
- Experience working on complex, technically demanding projects.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, assurance and control processes.
- Experience managing quality teams and working across multidisciplinary project environments.
- Experience managing subcontractor and supply chain quality performance.
- Strong understanding of inspection, testing, non-conformance and corrective action processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to influence project teams and drive a positive quality culture.
