Senior Quant Researcher - HFT Futures
My client is one of the largest participants across Asian and emerging markets that most people in London haven't heard of. That is starting to change. Over a decade they have built a top-tier on-exchange equities and options franchise on their own low-latency platform, and they are now taking that engine into CME, ICE and Eurex futures. This is the anchor hire for that build.
This is not a mindset shift for the firm and it should not be one for you. It is high-frequency futures done properly: the same latency-native, fully systematic approach they already run at scale, extended onto the deepest futures venues in the world. You will own signals end to end, on a platform where research, simulation, execution and connectivity are already built and already profitable across three continents.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you'll own:
- High-frequency futures signal research on CME, ICE and Eurex, from hypothesis to live P&L
- Work at the sharp end of a central platform, not a fenced-off personal book
- Research where compute is genuinely not the constraint
What we're looking for:
- High-frequency or low-latency futures signals that made money in production, not simulation
- Strong C++ and Python, real fluency with tick data and execution at the microsecond end
- Someone who builds on shared infrastructure by instinct, and makes it better, rather than needing the firm to rebuild around them
- Statistical rigour, and respect for how fast a high-frequency edge decays
- Excellent academic record, IMO/competitive programming a big plus

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
This isn't for you if:
- You want to run an isolated book slightly adjacent to the house style
- You need proven US infrastructure fully in place before you'll commit
- You lead with a headline percentage rather than what you'd build
- Your edge lives at days-to-weeks, or rests on backtest Sharpe in isolation
What you get:
- A real build with a proven, speed-native engine underneath. Ownership at a scale where you are number two on a team, not number 178. Upside tied to what you build, and a partnership that backs the right person with capital and resources.
