SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

✍️ Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor on a permanent, site-based position in Basingstoke.

The company specialises in delivering high-end and bespoke residential projects for high-net-worth private clients, with a strong focus on quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong Senior Quantity Surveyor with a genuine prime residential or luxury residential background, looking to work on high-quality projects for discerning private clients.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing the commercial delivery of high-end residential projects from pre-construction through to completion
  • Managing project budgets, cost reports, forecasts and CVRs
  • Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and commercial negotiations
  • Managing subcontractor valuations, payments, variations and final accounts
  • Managing client valuations and applications for payment
  • Monitoring costs against budget and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
  • Managing variations, change control, EOTs and Loss & Expense
  • Supporting pre-construction activities, including cost planning and procurement
  • Working closely with clients, Project Managers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Providing commercial support throughout the project lifecycle through to final account and completion

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
  • Strong background in prime residential, luxury residential or high-end construction
  • Experience delivering bespoke new-build homes, high-end refurbishments or extensions
  • Strong knowledge of subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, cost control and final accounts
  • Based within a commutable distance of Basingstoke
