Your new company
A leading organisation operating within the civil engineering and infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of a portfolio of projects. Working within an established team, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, commercially and in line with contractual requirements.
Your new role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the post-contract commercial management of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. Your duties will include:
- Cost control
- Financial reporting
- Forecasting
- Assessment of contractor applications
- Management of change
- Agreement of final accounts
- Ensuring contracts are administered effectively
You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors, providing commercial guidance and ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with NEC4 contract requirements. This is a hybrid position combining home working with regular visits to live construction sites.

What you'll need to succeed
- Extensive Quantity Surveying experience within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong post-contract commercial management experience
- Detailed knowledge of NEC4 contracts and associated contract administration
- Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting
- Proven ability to assess contractor applications, variations, and final accounts
- Understanding of procurement processes and commercial governance
- Relevant qualification at HNC/HND, degree level, or equivalent (RQF Level 4-6)
- MRICS or equivalent professional accreditation desirable
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites
