Senior Quantity Surveyor

An opportunity has arisen for the position of Senior Quantity Surveyor within the Contract Administration Team. We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to become an integral part of the Contract Administration Team, who will be responsible for delivering a wide range of civil projects throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing bills of quantities, commercially assessing tenders, the financial and contractual management of projects, assessing CE’s, and preparing cost plans for grant bids. Additionally, you will procure services of consultants and contractors who will work on the project and track changes throughout the project and adjust budgets accordingly on a variety of projects throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Level 6 or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or a relevant subject
  • A professional qualification such as MRICS, MCIOB, ICE or equivalent
  • Or provide a demonstration of working towards a professional qualification

Job Details:

  • Location: Council’s headquarters in Pontypridd
  • Working Hours: 37 hours a week, under the flexible working hours scheme
