Senior Quantity Surveyor
We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our HS2 North Calvert Civils Package team based in Twyford, Buckinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key commercial role on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, helping to drive commercial performance, maximise value and support the successful delivery of major civil engineering works.
Location: Twyford Buckinghamshire
Hours: Permanent Fulltime 45 hours per week - we offer some flexibility on working hours, so please let us know your preferences when you speak with us.
Salary: From £65,000 per year + private healthcare + £6,700 annual car allowance + comprehensive benefits package

What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the commercial performance of this high-profile civil engineering and infrastructure project. Working closely with operational and commercial teams, you'll help maximise profitability, manage contractual obligations and provide commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.

- Managing commercial resources and contract administration to maximise project value and achieve planned gross margin targets
- Preparing and submitting applications for payment, valuations, compensation events, claims and commercial reporting data
- Identifying, assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks across the project
- Supporting effective cash flow management through accurate measurement, valuation and invoicing processes
- Valuing subcontractor works and certifying interim and final payments in accordance with contractual requirements
What are we looking for?
Role
This Senior Quantity Surveyor role would suit someone with strong commercial acumen who enjoys working on complex infrastructure and civil engineering projects while building lasting relationships with clients, suppliers and project teams. We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering, highways, rail, infrastructure or construction sectors
- A relevant qualification such as a Degree, HNC or HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
- Strong commercial and financial management skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships across project teams
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment
