Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Industry: IT
Contract type: Temp to Perm or Permanent
Location: Hybrid/London or Farnborough
Salary: £85,000 – £100,000+ depending on experience
The role:
- Join as the first Quantity Surveyor in a brand new commercial function, with real scope to shape how it runs
- Lead cost negotiation, value management and subcontractor management across AV integration projects
- Work end to end where possible, from pre-contract estimating through to final account, with a post-sales focus valued
- Manage contracts under JCT or FIDIC, with occasional exposure to NEC
- Work closely with project teams on site as well as in the office, balancing commercial oversight with hands-on involvement
- Build strong working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best commercial outcomes
- Take on a growth opportunity as the role expands into Ireland and wider Europe over time
- Potential to build and lead your own team as the function scales

Skills needed:
- Chartered or near-chartered through RICS
- Proven experience managing contracts under JCT or FIDIC
- Strong track record in cost negotiation, value management and subcontractor management
- Comfortable splitting time between site and office
- Stable career history, ideally with longer tenures at previous employers
- Confident operating in a business without an existing QS function, comfortable setting up processes from scratch
- Strong communicator, able to work closely with legal, operations and senior leadership
