Senior Quantity Surveyor – Super Prime Residential
Location: Central London
Salary: £80,000 – £95,000 + Package
Sector: Super Prime Residential / High-End Refurbishment
An established London main contractor specialising in super prime residential projects is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. The business delivers some of London's most prestigious private residential schemes, including high-value refurbishments, listed properties, structural alterations and bespoke new-build projects for private clients and UHNW individuals.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for a high-end residential project, working closely with the Project Manager, Commercial Manager and wider delivery team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Full commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
- Preparation of valuations, variations and cost reports
- Managing subcontractor accounts and payments
- Forecasting, CVRs and commercial reporting
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Contract administration and management of contractual correspondence
- Working closely with clients, consultants and the wider project team
- Managing change control on highly bespoke residential projects
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team
- Ensuring projects achieve commercial targets while maintaining the exceptionally high standards expected within the super prime market

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong Quantity Surveying experience with a main contractor
- Experience delivering high-end residential, luxury refurbishment or complex refurbishment projects
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
- Excellent procurement and subcontractor management experience
- Confidence managing projects commercially with a high degree of autonomy
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Experience dealing with variations and complex bespoke packages
- Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, high-quality project environment
