SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Central London
Salary: Up to £85,000 + Car Allowance + Travel + Bonus
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier One Main Contractor working on a major residential development in Central London.
This is a large-scale, high-value residential project involving complex construction and refurbishment works, providing an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take a senior commercial position within an established project team.
THE ROLE
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of the project, working closely with the Commercial Manager and wider project team.
You will also take responsibility for managing and mentoring members of the Commercial team, providing commercial leadership and supporting the successful financial delivery of the project.

Responsibilities
- Managing the commercial performance of your section of the project
- Managing and mentoring members of the Commercial team
- Subcontract procurement, negotiation and account management
- Cost reporting, forecasting and financial control
- Commercial risk and opportunity management
- Subcontractor management and final accounts
- Working closely with the Project Manager and operational team

Requirements
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong Main Contractor experience and a background in large-scale residential construction.
Ideally, you will have:
- Strong Main Contractor experience
- Experience working on large-scale residential projects
- Previous experience managing or mentoring commercial staff
- Strong subcontractor and commercial management skills
- Excellent knowledge of cost control, procurement and change management
- A relevant Quantity Surveying qualification
- Ambition to progress into a Commercial Manager position
