About the Role
Due to ongoing growth, our client is looking for a Senior/ Quantity Surveyor to join their business. Based in Wakefield, they specialise in undertaking Civil/ Groundworks projects.
Based on site you will work closely with the wider commercial and Site teams in a friendly collegiate atmosphere. Our client is looking for someone who can grow with the role, is tech savvy, and has the skills and knowledge that come with experience in the commercial construction sector, ideally with a main contractor.
Skills and Aptitude
- Strong communication and listening skills, with good negotiation skills.
- Highly motivated to deliver quality developments.
- Ability to manage your own projects as well as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates the ability to meet deadlines.
- IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems.
- Good administration skills.
- Regularly liaise with clients, Project Manager, and suppliers to maintain clear communication throughout the project.

Requirements
- HNC/HND or degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience (Ideal)
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within commercial construction or residential
- Knowledge of construction regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driving license.
