Senior Quantity Surveyor
North London | £80,000 - £90,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance/Company Car + Excellent Benefits
A leading UK main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial delivery of a £50m new build education project in North London. My client is one of the UK's most successful main contractors and can offer exposure to exciting projects, an excellent work-life balance, and long-term career prospects.
The project forms part of a long-term Department for Education (DfE) framework, offering the opportunity to join the scheme from pre-construction and take it through to successful completion and handover.
As the Lead QS on the project, you'll manage a commercial team of three and take full responsibility for the commercial performance of the project, working closely with the project delivery team and client throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all commercial activities from pre-construction through to final account.
- Develop and manage project cost plans and budgets.
- Oversee procurement, subcontract management, and contract administration.
- Manage project forecasting, reporting, and commercial risk.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a commercial team of three.
- Build strong relationships with the client and key project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor working for a UK main contractor.
- Proven track record delivering new build or complex cut and carve projects valued above £25m.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Experience leading commercial teams and managing the full project lifecycle.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Salary & Benefits
- £80,000 - £90,000 basic salary.
