Location: Sudbury, Suffolk
Rate: £549/day Umbrella
Contract: Until April 2027
Working pattern: Hybrid, ideally 3 days per week on site/in the office
Hours: 45 hours per week
My T1 Contractor client is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major infrastructure project in Sudbury.
The role will support commercial delivery across packages of work related to an 11km of underground cable, with particular responsibility for HDD, trenching, ducting and associated civils works.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of assigned infrastructure packages
- Administering NEC contracts
- Preparing and managing applications for payment
- Managing CVRs and cost reporting
- Supporting compensation events, valuations and commercial change
- Working closely with delivery, engineering and wider commercial teams
- Managing subcontractor accounts and ensuring accurate commercial records
- Supporting junior members of the commercial team where required

Requirements
- Ideally 5+ years' Quantity Surveying experience
- Strong construction or major infrastructure background
- Good working knowledge of NEC contracts and contract administration
- Experience with civils, utilities, power, cables or similar infrastructure advantageous
- FastDraft experience desirable
- RICS qualification desirable but not essential
- Able to work effectively within a large project and commercial team
- Able to commit to approximately 3 days per week in Sudbury
