Job Opportunity: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Tetra Tech’s Cost Consultancy is responsible for some of the most strategically important projects in the UK & Ireland. We provide our clients with high quality cost advice on the capital and whole life cost of their buildings with an increasing focus on carbon reduction. Due to our continued success in securing major projects in the UK & Ireland, we have identified a need for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team.
Join Tetra Tech's dynamic team in Belfast and be at the heart of several transformative projects, each in excess of £200m! You'll dive into exciting sectors like Education, Healthcare, and Infrastructure, making a real impact.
Role Overview
As a pivotal member of our team, you'll lead and support groundbreaking projects from their inception to successful handover. Collaborate with top-tier Quantity Surveyors and Directors, and benefit from unparalleled development and mentorship opportunities provided by our senior leadership.
Your role will involve close interaction with clients, stakeholders, and a diverse team of experts from various Tetra Tech disciplines. Together, you'll craft innovative solutions that make a real difference.

About You
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification
- Have or are working towards full membership of the RICS
- Pre and post contract cost management experience, including setting budgets, managing change, assessing risk and opportunity and procurement.
- Experience of working with NEC, JCT and bespoke forms of D&B Contracts.
- Education and Health sector experience is preferable, but not essential as we are looking for experience across all sectors
- Dependable and reliable
- Professional and service focused on client satisfaction
- Promotes confidence with clients and colleagues
- Motivates junior members of the Tetra Tech family
- Sound IT skills, especially Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Self-motivation to work collaboratively with virtual project teams
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solver and negotiation skills
