Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next challenge?
I'm currently working with a highly respected construction consultancy that's looking to strengthen its London team with the appointment of an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Senior Cost Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a diverse client base, offering genuine career progression, varied work and the chance to play a key role within a growing team.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, acting as a trusted advisor to clients while delivering first-class Cost Management services.
You'll work closely with clients, consultants and contractors, leading projects, managing commercial performance and mentoring more junior surveyors within the business.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities
- Deliver Quantity Surveying and Cost Management services across multiple projects.
- Prepare cost plans, feasibility estimates and project budgets.
- Produce tender documentation and manage procurement processes.
- Administer JCT and NEC contracts.
- Manage valuations, variations, change control and final accounts.
- Provide strategic commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead client meetings and build long-term relationships.
- Mentor and support Assistant and Intermediate Quantity Surveyors.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams.
- Identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships and secure repeat business.

About You
You'll ideally have:
- Experience working within a Construction Consultancy or Cost Consultancy.
- A proven background delivering projects independently.
- Strong Cost Planning, Cost Management and Commercial Management experience.
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- A Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent.
- MRICS status or be actively working towards chartership.
- Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts.
