About The Role
A Senior Quantity Surveyor position is available in Exeter with RGB Recruitment, offering a salary between £65,000 and £70,000 per annum plus a comprehensive package. This full-time role involves joining an established regional contractor with a strong project pipeline across the Southwest. The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Taking commercial responsibility for multiple construction and refurbishment projects.
- Managing projects from procurement through to final account.
- Reviewing and administering contractual documentation and commercial terms.
- Procuring, negotiating and managing subcontractors and suppliers.
- Preparing and agreeing client valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Monitoring project costs, cash flow, risks, and commercial opportunities.
- Producing accurate monthly cost reports and forecasts through to completion.
- Supporting operational teams with commercial and financial reporting.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and the supply chain.
- Providing support and guidance to junior members of the commercial team.
- Assisting with estimating or wider pre-construction activities where required.
About You
We are looking to speak with experienced Quantity Surveyors who have:

- A proven background within the construction industry.
- Experience managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, subcontract management, valuations, and final accounts.
- The ability to confidently manage project costs and produce accurate forecasts.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive and commercially focused approach to work.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
