Avove is expanding its Commercial Team and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join us during an exciting period of growth.
This hybrid role is based out of our Warrington office, with flexibility to work from home and visit project sites across the Northwest.
You’ll play a key commercial role on our United Utilities account, supporting a wide range of clean water and wastewater projects that are essential to local communities. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading client while helping deliver high quality, sustainable infrastructure solutions.
What will your day look like…
- Ensuring contract compliance with Avove’s systems, processes, and procedures.
- Managing financial monitoring and reporting across assigned contracts.
- Supporting the preparation, negotiation, and administration of construction contracts.
- Managing contract variations, commercial records, claims, EOTs, and valuations.
- Overseeing subcontractor procurement, appointments, and ongoing management.
- Preparing and submitting timely applications and invoices to clients.
- Supporting business development activities including PQQs and tender submissions.
- Mentoring and developing junior commercial team members.
- Leading on staff performance, development, and resource planning within your team.

About you…
- Strong experience working with NEC3/NEC4 contracts (target cost, fixed price, cost reimbursable).
- Background in both infrastructure and non infrastructure projects, ideally within the water/utilities sector.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience managing contract frameworks.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within multi disciplinary teams.
- Full UK driving licence (regional site visits required).
