Senior Quantity Surveyor Tier 1 Contractor
Location: Welwyn Garden City
Salary: £85,000-£95,000 + Car/Allowance + Benefits
A leading Tier 1 main contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their London & Home Counties division. This is a great opportunity to work on high-value DfE projects and progress your career within a stable, well-respected business.

What You'll Be Doing
- Lead commercial management across multiple projects
- Produce accurate cost reports, forecasts, and commercial advice
- Manage your own projects independently
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor management, and change control
- Support 2-stage tenders and framework schemes
- Work closely with project teams to ensure commercial targets are met
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams
What We're Looking For
- Tier 1 main contractor experience (essential)
- DfE project experience on schemes £20m-£70m (essential)
- Strong background managing your own projects
- Experience with 2-stage procurement
- Good understanding of construction methods and sequencing
- HNC/Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
- RICS membership (or working towards) is beneficial
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
