AWC Staff Services is currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support our client on a major Gas Project in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
We are looking for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor with strong experience within the National Gas / Gas Transmission Environment, who is comfortable working on a site-based project and managing commercial activities from pre-contract through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of the project.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and expenditure.
- Prepare and manage valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
- Manage variations, compensation events and change control.
- Review and assess subcontractor applications, costs and accounts.
- Provide accurate cost reporting and commercial forecasting.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Support procurement and subcontract negotiations.
- Ensure contractual compliance and maintain appropriate commercial records.
- Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Team, Commercial Team and wider stakeholders.

- National Gas / gas transmission experience is essential.
- Previous experience working on major gas, utilities, infrastructure or energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial management.
- Experience managing subcontractors, variations, valuations and final accounts.
- Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting and reporting.
- Excellent commercial and contractual awareness.
Rate: £500 – £550 Per Day, LTD
Duration: 12 Months
