Talented people are the key to our success.

Would you like to work for an inclusive and collaborative company that is recognised as one of the UK's leading infrastructure organisations?

We are seeking an ambitious and driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, supporting the commercial delivery of a major infrastructure framework comprising significant initial works and subsequent construction activities. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a high-profile project, contributing to its successful delivery from early stage works through to full construction.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of the project, working closely with project delivery teams to ensure robust cost control, commercial governance, and value generation. This role is ideal for an experienced commercial professional who enjoys working on complex infrastructure projects and is looking to further develop their leadership and commercial management capabilities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial aspects of construction and infrastructure projects from inception through to completion.
  • Ensure effective cost management, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting across the project lifecycle.
  • Administer and manage contracts and subcontract agreements in accordance with project requirements.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and agree valuations, variations, change events, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project performance and provide commercial guidance to support successful project delivery.
  • Identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Support procurement activities, including tender evaluation, subcontractor engagement, and contract negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and commercial best practice.
  • Produce accurate and timely commercial reports and forecasts for project and business leadership teams.
  • Support dispute avoidance and resolution through initiative-taking contract management.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team where appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
