Senior Quantity Surveyor - AMP8 Water Projects
Up to £500 per day (Outside IR35)
Location: Kent
We're seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial ownership of projects from tender handover through to final account.
This opportunity sits within a specialist engineering and construction business delivering mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA), process, power and civil works across water and wastewater treatment and pumping facilities.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional who thrives on responsibility, enjoys working closely with project teams, and is focused on achieving strong financial and contractual outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full commercial lifecycle of projects from tender handover through to final account.
- Prepare, review and manage subcontractor agreements and commercial documentation.
- Monitor project performance, costs, forecasts and cash flow.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies where required.
- Manage contractual change, variations and compensation events.
- Produce accurate commercial reporting and financial forecasts.
- Lead commercial discussions with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders.
- Support operational teams to ensure commercial awareness is embedded throughout project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, internal procedures and best practice.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction, engineering, utilities or infrastructure projects.
- Strong commercial and contractual management expertise.
- Excellent analytical, financial and reporting skills.
- Ability to identify commercial risks and develop practical solutions.
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive approach with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience within the water sector or MEICA project delivery would be advantageous.
