Senior Quantity Surveyor - Ipswich
I'm currently working with an established and highly regarded construction consultancy that is looking to strengthen its team with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Ipswich.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who is looking to join a progressive consultancy where they can take ownership of projects, develop client relationships and play an important role within a growing team.
The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved across a range of projects, providing high-quality cost management and quantity surveying services from inception through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing full quantity surveying and cost management services across a variety of projects.
- Managing project costs, budgets and financial reporting.
- Preparing cost plans, estimates and tender documentation.
- Undertaking tender analysis and procurement advice.
- Managing valuations, variations, payments and final accounts.
- Advising clients on commercial and contractual matters.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Supporting junior members of the team and contributing to their professional development.
- Taking responsibility for delivering projects to a high standard, on time and within budget.

About You
We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who is confident working within a consultancy environment and is comfortable managing projects and client relationships.
Ideally, you will have:
- Significant experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a construction consultancy.
- Strong commercial and cost management experience.
- Experience managing projects from inception through to completion.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- A relevant Quantity Surveying / Construction-related degree.
- MRICS or working towards chartership would be advantageous.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a wider team.
