Senior Quantity Surveyor (Commercial Manager Considered)
Location: Banbury
Salary: Up to £95,000 per annum (higher for Commercial Manager-level candidates)
Contract Type: Permanent
Our client, a leading M&E contractor, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their commercial team on HS2 C2, based in Banbury. This permanent role offers scope for candidates operating at Commercial Manager level to be considered at an enhanced salary.
The Role
- Lead commercial delivery on M&E packages within the HS2 C2 works
- Oversee procurement strategy, subcontractor management, and commercial reporting across the package
- Administer NEC contracts, including compensation events and change control
- Produce and present CVRs, cost-to-complete forecasts, and cash flow analysis
- Manage final accounts and protect project margin through robust variation and risk management
- For candidates operating at CM level: broader oversight of the commercial function, mentoring junior QS staff, and closer client/stakeholder engagement

About You
- MEP/M&E commercial background preferred; candidates with a solid NEC and infrastructure background will also be considered
- Strong NEC3/4 contract administration experience
- Prior experience on major infrastructure or rail programmes advantageous
- SC Clearance desirable (or willingness to obtain)
