Company Description

MBH Design Studio is a fast-growing multidisciplinary consultancy delivering architecture, project management, quantity surveying, principal designer, and engineering services across the commercial, roadside retail, EV infrastructure, and development sectors.

As we continue to grow, we're investing heavily in our Commercial function, introducing new delivery systems, stronger governance, and industry-leading quality standards.

We're looking for an ambitious Commercial Manager to play a key role in that journey.

It's an opportunity to help build a high-performing commercial team, influence how the business operates, and work directly with senior leadership to shape the future of MBH.

The Role

You'll lead the commercial delivery of projects from feasibility through to completion, providing commercial leadership across a diverse portfolio of commercial, retail, and EV infrastructure projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the commercial management of multiple projects from inception to final account.
  • Preparing cost plans, Bills of Quantities, tender documentation, and procurement strategies.
  • Managing competitive tender processes and negotiating with contractors.
  • Reviewing tender returns and preparing commercial recommendations for clients.
  • Managing project budgets, cost reporting, variations, and commercial risk.
  • Building trusted relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams.
  • Mentoring and developing junior members of the commercial team.
  • Driving continuous improvement across commercial systems, governance, and quality assurance.
  • Supporting the development of new digital processes and technologies that will shape the future of our business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
