Senior Quantity Surveyor | Glasgow | £80,000–£85,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus | Major Infrastructure & Energy Projects
Our client is a leading international main contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex construction, infrastructure and mission-critical projects across the UK and Europe. Following a sustained period of growth and continued project wins, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team in the Glasgow region.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a high-performing business delivering major substation, MEP, data centre and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, while benefiting from genuine long-term career development opportunities within a rapidly growing organisation.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial delivery of major infrastructure and energy projects across Scotland and the wider UK.
Working closely with operational teams, project stakeholders and supply chain partners, you will be responsible for managing commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered successfully while maximising value and mitigating risk.
This role offers exposure to technically complex projects and would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step within a business that is investing heavily in its future growth.

- Manage the commercial delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and administer subcontract packages, valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Produce accurate cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow analysis.
- Monitor project budgets and commercial performance.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Support procurement activities and subcontractor negotiations.
- Manage change control and contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with project delivery teams to achieve commercial and operational objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company commercial procedures.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong commercial background and a proven track record working on major projects for recognised contractors.
You will have:
- Previous experience working for a leading main contractor or major infrastructure contractor.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Experience managing subcontractor procurement and commercial administration.
- Excellent cost reporting, forecasting and financial management skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to project delivery.
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following sectors would be highly advantageous:
