We're recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a major M&E project in Ayrshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to play a key role on a flagship project with an M&E package in the multi millions.

This position is ideally suited to a Senior Quantity Surveyor who has a proven track record of delivering large-scale M&E projects and is confident managing complex commercial packages from procurement through to final account.

The Role Of The Senior Quantity Surveyor

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of a significant M&E package, ensuring costs are controlled, risks are managed, and contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Commercial management of a major M&E package.
  • Preparing and managing cost reports, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Procuring and managing subcontractor packages.
  • Administering NEC and/or JCT contracts.
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities while maximising project profitability.
  • Working closely with project managers, site teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements Of The Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale M&E or building services projects.
  • Experience delivering projects with M&E packages valued at £5 million or more.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
  • Excellent commercial, contractual, and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • A full UK driving licence.
