🚨 Senior Quantity Surveyor - Major Defence Project in Scotland!
I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor delivering a major long-term infrastructure programme near Helensburgh, Scotland.
📍 Location: Helensburgh / Scotland
💼 Position Type: Permanent or Freelance
💰 Freelance: Inside IR35 - Umbrella PAYE
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) will be responsible for the commercial management of major civil engineering and infrastructure packages within a highly regulated project environment.

Key Duties:
- Managing commercial performance of civils/infrastructure packages
- NEC contract administration
- Preparing and managing CVRs, forecasts, and cost reports
- Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts
- Applications for payment and valuations
- Managing variations and Compensation Events
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Negotiating and agreeing subcontractor final accounts
- Working closely with project, engineering, and operational teams
- Client liaison and commercial reporting
- Supporting the wider commercial team throughout project delivery

We're particularly interested in Senior Quantity Surveyors from Tier 1 / major civil engineering contractor backgrounds, with experience across heavy civils, infrastructure, nuclear, defence, utilities, energy, rail, or major infrastructure projects. Strong NEC3/NEC4 experience would be highly advantageous.
Both permanent and freelance candidates will be considered.
