Senior Quantity Surveyor / Managing Quantity Surveyor
Central Belt, Scotland | Leading Fit-Out Subcontractor | 4-Day Working Week

Our client is a highly respected, family-owned fit-out subcontractor with an outstanding reputation across Scotland's construction sector. Working in partnership with many of the UK's leading Tier 1 contractors, they deliver high-profile projects across commercial, education, healthcare, leisure and public sector environments. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the commercial leadership of the business.

Your new role
As Senior QS/Managing QS, you will take commercial responsibility for a number of significant fit-out packages on some of Scotland's most prestigious construction projects. Working closely with senior management, project teams and key clients, you will lead commercial activities from pre-construction through to final account while also mentoring and developing a small team of Quantity Surveyors.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Commercial management of multiple fit-out projects
- Preparation and negotiation of valuations, variations and final accounts
- Contract administration and risk management
- Cost forecasting and reporting to senior leadership
- Subcontract procurement and management
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Mentoring, developing and supporting junior commercial staff
- Contributing to the strategic growth and commercial performance of the business
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor
- Strong construction or fit-out sector experience
- Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge
- Experience working with Tier 1 contractors and major construction projects
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Commercially astute with excellent communication skills
- Ambitious and motivated to play a key role in a growing business
