Senior Quantity Surveyor - Water Infrastructure

Bristol / South West
£55,000 - £65,000 + Package

A leading infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the delivery of several capital water projects for a major water provider covering the South West.

Based out of Bristol, this role will involve managing projects located locally and along the M5 corridor heading South. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Senior QS who enjoys taking ownership of projects from inception through to final account, whilst also supporting the development of junior commercial staff and working closely with the client.

Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end commercial management of multiple projects, typically valued from £5m to £20m. This will include upgrades to wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and reservoirs.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
