Managing Quantity Surveyor – Overhead Lines
Location: [Larnark]
Salary: Competitive
Type: Contract
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial Team of a leading infrastructure business, supporting major Electrical Transmission / Overhead Lines projects.
This is a key commercial position responsible for maximising project profitability, managing commercial risk and supporting Project and Business Unit Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project costs, valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
- Monitor commercial risks and maintain project risk registers.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including valuations, quotations and commercial negotiations.
- Support compensation events, delay claims and identification of commercial opportunities.
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts and commercial documentation.
- Attend project and commercial meetings and maintain accurate project records.
- Work closely with project teams to maximise value and minimise commercial risk.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and HSEQ requirements.

About You:
- Qualified Quantity Surveyor with relevant commercial experience.
- Experience working on infrastructure, utilities, electrical transmission or overhead lines projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and contract law.
- Experience in subcontract management, cost/value reconciliation and contract costing.
- Strong understanding of variations, valuations, claims and site records.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and financial awareness.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
