Senior Quantity Surveyor – London
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on an exciting new project in South West London.
This is a great opportunity to join a project at the very start of its journey, working on a £25m–£30m hotel development and playing a key role in delivering the scheme from the ground up.
Reporting directly into the Commercial Director, you’ll take ownership of the commercial management of the project, working closely with the wider site team, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account
- Preparing and reviewing subcontractor packages, valuations, variations, and payments
- Managing costs, budgets, and forecasting to ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle
- Reviewing contracts, raising commercial risks, and providing solutions to maintain project performance
- Working closely with the site and design teams to support successful project delivery
- Managing subcontractor relationships and ensuring commercial compliance
- Producing accurate cost reports and providing regular updates to the Commercial Director
- Supporting procurement strategies and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensuring all commercial processes are followed in line with company procedures

The ideal candidate will have:

- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management
- Strong experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
- Previous experience delivering projects within the hotel, residential, or commercial sectors
- Excellent commercial management skills with a strong understanding of JCT contracts
- Ability to take ownership, manage priorities, and work collaboratively within a project team
