Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager
📍 Sellafield | Full-Time Site-Based
Keltbray is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to support a major project at Sellafield.
This is a key commercial leadership role within a live project environment, requiring an individual who can provide robust commercial oversight, challenge project performance and ensure the integrity of cost and programme reporting. The role is an immediate requirement and we are keen to speak with experienced professionals who can make a quick impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial management activities across the project.
- Undertake detailed cost analysis and auditing of project expenditure, forecasts, and commitments.
- Review and challenge commercial data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Prepare and interrogate cost forecasts, CVRs, cashflow forecasts, and commercial reports.
- Ensure programme and commercial information remain fully aligned.
- Manage compensation events, early warnings, and change control processes under NEC contracts.
- Provide clear commercial insight and strategic advice to senior project stakeholders.

Essential Experience
- Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager level experience within a complex construction, engineering, or infrastructure environment.
- Strong NEC contract knowledge and practical application.
- Extensive experience in:
- Cost management and cost control
- Commercial reporting and forecasting
- Financial and programme analysis
- Commercial auditing and risk management
- CVRs and cashflow forecasting
- Managing commercial performance on major projects
- Ability to challenge and interrogate project data rather than simply report on it.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable
- MRICS qualification.
- Experience within major infrastructure, nuclear, or engineering projects.
About the Role
This is not a reporting-only position. The successful candidate will be expected to actively challenge commercial performance, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and provide meaningful commercial leadership to support successful project delivery. Immediate availability would be highly advantageous.
