An international general contractor that is delivering a complex hyperscale data centre project in Northumberland is seeking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be involved in all commercial aspects, report directly to the Commercial Lead and have several AQS’s reporting into you.
The data centre sector in Europe continues to boom, each week multi-billion euro investments are announced across the continent and it shows no sign of slowing down. This coupled with the increased emphasis that this client has put on their data centre division, makes an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to fast track their career to commercial management level.

This client is well placed for strong growth across the next several years with the pipeline fully booked with orders from some of the most prestigious clients in the industry. There is a strong site team already in place with the expertise required to deliver projects successfully.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the commercial & surveying aspects on sites
- Drafting weekly, monthly & quarterly reports
- Managing budgets & commercial tasks on major residential schemes
- Cost control
- Preparing tenders, procuring subcontractors & materials
- Liaising with both production & technical teams
- Attending all project & team meetings

Key Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience
- Strong background in mission critical delivery
- A confident communicator who can demonstrate the ability to form and develop relationships with the client, design team and supply chain
- Ideally, previous residential experience
- Longevity in previous roles
