Huber is looking for a permanent Quantity Surveyor
The function of a Quantity Surveyor within Huber Parking UK Limited is to provide client-side QS and commercial management across procurement, construction, completion and close-out.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Client QS/commercial management: payment applications, changes and variations, final accounts, contract notices, and contract document compilation/issue.
- Subcontract procurement: prepare tender documents, identify tenderers, issue packs, analyse/vet/compare quotes, conduct tender interviews and negotiations, and present recommendations to the PM.
- Draft and award contracts, LOIs or POs; negotiate particulars, agree programmes, ensure engrossment and archive contracts.
- Construction commercial management: administer site events, issue notices, measure/quantify activities, manage VOs under main contracts and subcontracts, and manage employer/tier 1 contractor commercial aspects.
- Attend site, client, pre-start and other meetings; manage and present monthly CVRs; manage subcontract costs; negotiate and agree final accounts.
- Completion: ensure payments are up to date, conclude project cost calculations, apply for all variations, calculate final account proposals, determine FA/cost result, collect back bonds, assist with CW agreement and arrange lessons learned.
- Close-out: obtain end of defects certificate and apply for retention release.

Profile:

- Appropriate QS qualification; experience with both JCT and NEC contracts.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Main constructor-level experience ideal; QS-related groundworks and M&E experience advantageous.
