Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS)
Location: Didcot, Oxfordshire
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) to join an established commercial team delivering a £60m highways infrastructure project in Didcot, Oxfordshire.
The project has recently commenced and includes the construction of a new bridge over an existing railway, providing an excellent long-term opportunity for an experienced commercial professional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial activities across the project from procurement through to delivery.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier procurement and commercial packages.
- Take responsibility for package management and cost control.
- Administer and manage contracts in accordance with NEC4.
- Work within an NEC4 Option C upstream contract environment, with predominantly Option A downstream.
- Monitor project costs, variations, compensation events and commercial performance.
- Work closely with the project and site teams to ensure effective commercial management.

About You:
- Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure projects.
- Strong NEC4 contract experience.
- Previous highways / civil engineering experience is highly desirable.
- Strong experience in procurement and package management.
- Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Ability to work collaboratively with project, engineering and site teams.
- Must be comfortable working site-based 5 days per week.
