Suffolk / London / Bristol / Manchester - Hybrid
Up to £80,000 plus company package
Permanent

Are you an experienced Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to play a key role on one of the UK's largest and most significant infrastructure projects?

We are looking for a commercially astute professional to support the delivery of a major nuclear infrastructure programme, working across Site Establishment and Off-Site Infrastructure activities.

This is an excellent opportunity to manage high-value, complex contracts while working closely with Project Managers, Finance, Project Controls and the wider Programme Delivery team.

The Role

As Commercial Manager, you will provide high-quality commercial management across a portfolio of complex contracts, supporting the successful delivery of major infrastructure works.

You will work with NEC and/or FIDIC contracts, managing commercial performance, change, risk, payments and claims throughout the contract lifecycle. Contract values can range up to £200m, making strong governance, change control and budget management essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial management support across a portfolio of high-value infrastructure contracts.
  • Manage and administer contracts during the post-award and execution phases.
  • Support Project Managers and wider delivery teams with commercial decision-making and risk management.
  • Manage commercial aspects of NEC and/or FIDIC contracts, including change management, payments and claims.
  • Support the management of supply chain packages in excess of £10m.
  • Oversee and manage the Early Warning process, ensuring contractual deadlines and governance requirements are met.
  • Support the resolution of contractual claims and disputes.
  • Manage contract change and ensure accurate budget reporting and forecasting.
  • Support the successful agreement and close-out of final accounts.
  • Maintain strong commercial relationships with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure contracts are administered in line with governance procedures, delegated authorities and the Integrated Management System.
  • Work closely with Finance, Project Controls, Supply Chain and Programme Delivery teams to ensure consistency and effective commercial reporting.
  • Identify and capture commercial lessons learned throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Support the delivery of ESG requirements across the programme.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
