Senior Quantity Surveyor / Managing Quantity Surveyor – Mixed Use Residential Development - Southwark
Salary/Package: £90,000 – £115,000 + £5,500 Car Allowance + 10 – 15% Bonus + Private Medical + Pension + Annual Leave
O'Neill and Brennan are currently working with a leading residential developer who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team, leading the commercial delivery of a landmark mixed-use residential development in Southwark.
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK's leading residential developers, delivering a complex £100m - £200m mixed-use scheme comprising high-quality residential and mixed-use elements. As the Commercial Lead, you will take full responsibility for the commercial delivery of the project from procurement through to final account, managing a high-performing commercial team while working closely with senior operational and development stakeholders.

Role Overview
Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor / Managing Quantity Surveyor
Project: £100m–£200m Mixed Use Residential Development
Location: Southwark
Salary: £90,000 – £110,000 + Package
Start: ASAP but can wait for the right person
Type: Permanent
Responsibilities
- Leading the commercial delivery of a £100m - £200m mixed-use residential development
- Managing the procurement and commercial administration of major subcontract packages through to final account
- Producing accurate cost reporting, CVRs, forecasts and monthly commercial reports
- Managing subcontractor valuations, variations, payments and final accounts
- Providing commercial leadership to the project team while mentoring and managing junior commercial staff
- Working closely with project management, design, planning and procurement teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities whilst maintaining strong cost control throughout the project lifecycle
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, consultants and the wider supply chain

Requirements
- Experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor within either a leading residential developer or main contractor
- Proven experience delivering large-scale residential or mixed-use developments
- Demonstrable experience leading the commercial delivery of major construction projects
- A stable career history with long tenures at recognised developers or main contractors
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent leadership, negotiation and communication skills
- Able and willing to commute to Southwark area
