I'm working with a leading specialist civil engineering who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major data centre development.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key commercial role on a significant enabling works package, joining a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of complex infrastructure and construction projects across the UK.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll take commercial responsibility for a substantial package of works, working closely with the project team to ensure commercial success from procurement through to final account.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the commercial aspects of a major enabling works package
- Administering NEC contracts and managing contractual obligations
- Procurement and management of subcontractors
- Preparing and agreeing valuations, variations and final accounts
- Cost reporting, forecasting and CVRs
- Managing change control and compensation events
- Building strong relationships with both internal and client teams
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required

About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or major construction projects
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts
- Experience managing complex subcontract packages
- Excellent commercial and contractual awareness
- The ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced project environment
Experience on infrastructure, enabling works, earthworks, groundworks or large-scale construction projects would be advantageous.
