Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Interior Fit-Out Division, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-end projects to the highest standard. You’ll be instrumental in managing costs, procurement, and contracts, ensuring every project is completed on time, within budget, and to exceptional quality.
In this role, you will take ownership of project financials, work closely with subcontractors, and maintain strong client relationships, all within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
A solid understanding of JCT/NEC contracts is essential, while experience in preparing delay analyses and managing loss and expense claims will be highly advantageous.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Budgeting: Establish and manage project budgets, allocate cost codes, and ensure detailed and accurate cost reporting.
- Contract Review & Procurement: Review main contract and subcontract terms, step down conditions, and procure subcontract packages through detailed tender documentation.
- Cost Forecasting: Track and forecast project costs and cash flow, ensuring comprehensive and transparent financial reporting.
- Contract Administration: Administer contracts, including managing delays, loss and expense claims, and compiling contractual correspondence.
- Client and Team Liaison: Regularly interface with clients and internal teams to progress the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring strong communication.
- Subcontractor Management: Oversee subcontractor performance, address issues promptly, and ensure alignment with the project’s commercial objectives.
- Delay & Variation Management: Carry out delay analysis, prepare extensions of time, and ensure variation and compensation mechanisms are adhered to.
- Meetings & Reporting: Attend progress and commercial meetings, representing GRAHAM in a commercial capacity and maintaining accurate site documentation.

Technical Competencies
Essential:
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Proven experience in a Senior QS role within fit-out or construction projects.
- Proficiency with JCT contracts and strong commercial acumen.
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills, with a track record of effective subcontractor management.
- Understanding of construction methodologies and health and safety regulations.
- Competence in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Excel).
Desirable:
- Professional qualification (e.g., MRICS/MCIOB).
- Experience in high-end, bespoke interior fit-out projects.
- Familiarity with both NEC and JCT contracts.
