A leading UK infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a major civil engineering programme. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established commercial team working on a complex, high-value project with long-term investment and significant stakeholder involvement.
Your new role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of a range of civil engineering works, ensuring robust cost control, contract administration, forecasting and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with operational teams, technical specialists and stakeholders from multiple disciplines, playing a key role in supporting successful project delivery. This is a site-based position on an initial 4-month contract with the potential for extension.

What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure or major projects
- Strong NEC contract knowledge and experience
- Demonstrable experience managing subcontractors, applications, variations, change control and final accounts
- Ability to manage relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen and reporting skills
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- MRICS, MCICES, or actively working towards chartership is essential
- Previous experience within large-scale civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, water, highways or energy projects
- Ability to work independently whilst supporting wider project objectives
