Senior Quantity Surveyor
Warrington + London Travel (2 Days)
£60,000-£70,000 + Car Allowance
A growing residential division is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery across a mix of live residential schemes, refurbishment programmes and complex building safety projects. You will work closely with senior leadership, oversee commercial reporting, drive procurement strategy and ensure strong governance across both North West and London-based projects. The role offers influence, responsibility and the chance to shape commercial standards within a developing division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead commercial delivery from tender through to final account
- Advanced valuations and CVRs including forecasting, WIP, cost/value reconciliations and cashflow reporting
- Variation and claims management ensuring disciplined commercial control
- Subcontractor oversight including negotiation, assessment and agreement of monthly applications
- Risk and value engineering to deliver best value solutions
- Commercial risk management across multiple live schemes
- Contractual leadership with strong understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract
- Procurement strategy including supply chain recommendations and commercial approvals
- Stakeholder leadership across client, subcontractor and internal teams
- Team development supporting junior QSs and contributing to wider commercial strategy

What We're Looking For:
- Senior QS experience with strong residential or refurbishment background
- Strong financial, contractual and commercial acumen
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to challenge cost assumptions and influence senior stakeholders
- Experience preparing detailed reports, contractual correspondence and commercial documentation
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex subcontractor packages
- High level of analytical ability and demonstrable legal and construction knowledge
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferred
