General hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, depending on location, between Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Regular travel across depots within the region is required

About The Role Of Senior Quantity Surveyor
This is an exciting time to join us on our journey to expanding our business. You will contribute to our success by working with our Operational, Commercial and Business Development teams to develop new and existing client relationships. You will be instrumental in developing new income streams and additional profit sources for the region. You will also be responsible for penetrating new markets and increasing business growth by fostering strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will contribute to the development of regional plans, and you will bring a Commercial focus to the profit and loss and strategic planning activities for your own region. Establishing and embedding management procedures and controls, you will drive productivity, innovation and business development. You will be encouraged to collaborate with colleagues across the group to adopt best-in-class practices and create solutions that maximise profitability and add real sustainable value.
What Good Looks Like For a Senior Quantity Surveyor
This is a critical role within the business, so we are looking for:
- A good understanding of the NEC form of contract
- Right to work in the UK, unsponsored
- Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points and no bans in 5 years
- Ideally have a working knowledge of Temporary Traffic Management.
- A highly motivated, confident and commercially minded individual
- Strong leadership skills
- Influencing and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build strong and reputable relationships with colleagues, clients and key stakeholders.
- Ability to be pragmatic and collaborative in your working approach and always deliver to the highest of standards.
- Be highly adaptable and flexible (Travel to different depots will be required within the region)
- Ability to ‘think on your feet’ and develop business-focused solutions in a rapidly changing environment.
