Senior Quantity Surveyor (Utilities / Civils)

Rate: £450-£500/day (Umbrella/PAYE)
Location: Hybrid
Duration: September 2026 - February 2027

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a major Grid Infrastructure project.

This role requires a candidate with a strong background in Utilities, Energy, Power, Water, Rail, Highways, or Civil Engineering projects. Candidates with predominantly building, residential, or fit-out experience will not be suitable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial management of infrastructure projects.
  • Client liaison and stakeholder management.
  • Management of AFPs, compensation events, and change control.
  • Cost forecasting, CVR reporting, and monthly commercial reporting.
  • Subcontract procurement and account management.
  • NEC contract administration.
  • Supporting material and plant procurement activities.

Essential Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
  • Proven experience within Utilities, Energy, or Civil Engineering environments.
  • Strong NEC contract knowledge.
  • Experience with subcontract management, procurement, and cost/value reporting.
  • Strong forecasting and commercial reporting skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with Oracle or similar ERP systems.
