Location: Bracknell
Salary: £65,000 - £85,000
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor - MEP to join a well-established commercial team delivering a major refurbishment and construction programme within a complex live environment in Bracknell.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the commercial management of MEP works on a high-profile project, ensuring effective cost control, contract compliance, and commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle. You will work alongside an experienced project team while gaining exposure to challenging and technically demanding works.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of MEP works across the project, including procurement, cost reporting, and contract administration.
- Carry out measurement and valuation of works from site records and drawings.
- Prepare and maintain Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and cost-to-complete forecasts.
- Manage project cash flow and maximize commercial performance.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and turnover projections.
- Produce internal valuations, CVRs, and subcontract liability reports in line with reporting requirements.
- Procure, negotiate, and agree subcontractor and supplier accounts.
- Ensure compliance with JCT Design & Build contractual requirements and internal governance procedures.
- Manage variations, change control, and final accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and internal stakeholders.

Essential Experience & Skills
- Extensive commercial management experience within an M&E or MEP subcontracting environment.
- Proven track record in cost control, reporting, subcontractor management, and change management.
- Strong knowledge of JCT Design & Build contracts gained within the M&E sector.
- Experience preparing CVRs, cost-to-complete forecasts, and commercial reports.
- Strong understanding of procurement and subcontract account management.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider commercial team.
- Experience working within live operational environments such as healthcare, aviation, or similar sectors would be advantageous.
About You
- HNC/HND, Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the M&E or Building Services sector.
- Strong understanding of commercial reporting, project controls, and contract administration.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work to challenging deadlines.
- Collaborative and proactive approach with strong communication skills.
- Experience delivering complex MEP projects is desirable.
- RICS Chartership, or working towards chartership, is highly desirable.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Full right to work in the UK.
