Senior Quantity Surveyor
Somerset
Salary: £90,000 – €110,000 + package
We are representing a leading international main contractor delivering large-scale Data Centre and Mission Critical projects across Europe. As part of their continued expansion across the South of the UK, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial function on complex, high-value developments based in Somerset.
This is a pivotal role offering the chance to take commercial ownership of landmark projects in one of Europe’s fastest-growing sectors, working within a high-performing and internationally recognised business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all commercial and contractual aspects of large-scale data centre and mission critical projects.
- Manage and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring effective cost management and reporting.
- Oversee procurement, subcontractor negotiation, and supply chain engagement.
- Provide accurate project forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting to senior management.
- Lead value engineering and risk management initiatives to maximise project performance.
- Ensure full compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
- Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal project teams to support successful project delivery.

Requirements
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior QS managing high-value construction projects, ideally within the data centre, industrial, or mission critical sectors.
- Strong contractual and financial acumen, with experience managing NEC or FIDIC contracts.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (German advantageous but not essential).
- EU citizenship or right to work in Germany preferred.
