Senior Quantity Surveyor – Freelance
Location: Glasgow – Hybrid
Contract: Freelance / Contract
Duration: Long-term
We are looking for experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors to join a major infrastructure programme in Glasgow. This is a strong opportunity to work on a large-scale, technically complex programme within a highly regulated environment, with a long-term contract and hybrid working.
The Role
You will take ownership of the commercial delivery of major infrastructure and engineering packages, ensuring strong cost control, contractual compliance, and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial and contractual activities across allocated projects/packages
- Lead cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Manage variations, change, and commercial risk
- Prepare and negotiate contracts and subcontracts
- Manage subcontractor and supply chain relationships
- Support commercial governance and project reporting
- Work closely with project teams and key stakeholders

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Background in infrastructure, engineering, or major construction
- Strong commercial and contract management experience
- Experience managing change, cost, and risk
- Excellent stakeholder and negotiation skills
- Comfortable working within regulated or complex project environments
