Senior Quantity Surveyor
We're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our United Utilities Framework based in Warrington.
Location
Warrington - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours
45 hours - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of United Utilities' largest AMP programme to date. The programme includes a substantial portfolio of wastewater treatment plant upgrades, chemical removal projects, bio-resource enhancements, and bathing water investments. As part of our collaborative team, you'll take day-to-day commercial responsibility for delivering projects from inception to completion, working within a supportive environment where your expertise will make a real impact.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial management team, supporting them in delivering successful project outcomes.
Your Day To Day Will Include
- Managing budgets, costs, and commercial elements of projects, driving profit and cash whilst mitigating risk
- Overseeing procurement, subcontract management, and implementing contract change control procedures
- Preparing monthly applications for payment and monitoring cashflow to maximise our cash position
- Providing commercial input and financial forecasts to the management team and client, ensuring business targets and KPIs are exceeded
- Developing and supporting junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment

What are we looking for?
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- You hold a degree in Quantity Surveying
- You have experience in a similar role, particularly within framework civils or utilities contracts
- You have proven experience administering NEC3/4 forms of contract with Target Costs
- You possess excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong client relationships
- You hold a Full driving licence
