A leading tier-one contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team on a landmark data centre development in Dunstable.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading commercial role on a large, technically complex project within one of the fastest-growing sectors in the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the commercial success of the project while working alongside an experienced delivery team on a high-value scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of a major data centre construction project.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting.
- Procure and manage subcontractor packages from tender through to final account.
- Negotiate contracts and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Prepare and submit valuations, variations, and cost reports.
- Monitor project costs and ensure commercial targets are achieved.
- Support the Project Director and wider site team with commercial decision-making.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
- Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team.

About You
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a Tier 1 main contractor.
- Strong track record delivering large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
- Previous experience on data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, industrial, or other highly serviced projects would be advantageous.
- Excellent commercial acumen and contractual knowledge.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced project environment.
