You will be working in the Infrastructure OU in Liverpool where we are responsible for bringing design, build and refurbishment excellence to complex civil engineering projects nationwide - combining technical expertise with a passion for creating lasting value for people and places.

We Are Currently Looking For A Senior Quantity Surveyor

You will successfully support the project commercial delivery team, project finances and contractual obligations internally and externally, including all subcontract packages as a member of the commercial team.

As The Senior Quantity Surveyor, You Will

  • Manage the procurement procedures for the package scope, quantification, tender method, negotiation and subcontract documentation.
  • Monitor and manage the contract procedures, payments, variations together with contract entitlements. Particular attention required understanding the impact of variations on critical path and assess EOT entitlement for Skanska and assess objectively subcontractor entitlement for relevant subcontract packages.
  • Support commercial lead with preparing and issuing the information for the management accounts and financial management procedure.
  • Manage and report the end life forecasting implemented through internal procedures, the monthly cost / value reconciliations, the variations procedures and the risk and opportunity management procedures for relevant packages.
  • Be able to set tender commercial strategies identifying win themes.

We Are Looking For

  • Experience working on large projects (ideally within a rail environment).
  • MRICS or CICES desirable.
  • Degree or equivalent in commercial related subject.
  • Experience with managing commercial teams of 2+ members.
  • High quality estimating and cost advice
  • Ability to challenge design and scope constructability
  • Strong contractual knowledge (JCT, NEC forms)
